Grumpy and Angry McCain

According to some polls, as many as 80% of Americans dislike negative political ads. So what's a maverick to do? You guessed it, go against what the American public wants and give us negative campaign ads. The headline of a recent article reads:

McCain Campaign's Ad Spending Now Nearly 100 Percent Devoted To Attack Ads

What does this mean? Well, it could mean several things. It probably means that McCain is getting desperate and is starting to realize he doesn't have much time left. When you think you have nothing left to lose, you start a scorched earth policy where you will say anything, and hope something works. Or, it could mean McCain realizes he has nothing positive to offer to the voters, or at least nothing that the voters want to hear. In that case, McCain does what any second rate politician does, just starts tearing down his opponent. I guess a third option could be that McCain is just showing his true colors. We've all heard about his temper, about being mean spirited, and being vindictive. Maybe these ads just reflect his personality.

My money (if I had any after 8 years of Cush) would be on desperate.
